Caramel Apple Taquitos

Crispy tortillas wrapped around sweet, cinnamon-spiced apples and drizzled with luscious caramel; a perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Flour Tortillas
  • Firm Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Brown Sugar
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice apples into thin wedges.
  3. Toss the sliced apples with brown sugar and ground cinnamon until well-coated.
  4. Spoon the apple mixture onto one edge of a tortilla, drizzle with caramel sauce, and roll it up tightly.
  5. Place the rolled taquitos seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with additional caramel before serving warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract to the apple mixture. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent twist.
