Chili Lime Chicken Wings

Chili Lime Chicken Wings are a flavorful dish combining spicy kick and citrusy zest, perfect for game days and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs fresh chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
  • 2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for sauce)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine 2 tsp chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Add 2 tbsp olive oil to create a paste.
  3. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning paste until thoroughly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Whisk together lime juice, 1 tbsp olive oil, honey (if using), and 1 tsp chili powder in a bowl to prepare the sauce.
  6. Remove wings from the oven and coat them with the chili lime sauce before serving.

Notes

For even crispier wings, broil for the last 2 minutes of baking. You can marinate the wings for a few hours in the seasoning paste for extra flavor.
