  • 2 cups pink and white marshmallows (or all white with a drop of red food coloring)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 tube red writing icing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your surface by lining a tray or baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Set up a double boiler by placing a heatproof bowl over a saucepan filled with simmering water.
  3. Melt the butter and marshmallows in the bowl, stirring continuously until smooth.
  4. Add the salt to enhance sweetness and mix well.
  5. Incorporate the Rice Krispies, folding gently until well-coated.
  6. With buttered hands, scoop out mounds and shape them into brain forms, creating indents for texture.
  7. Drizzle red writing icing over the shaped treats.
  8. Let the treats cool and set at room temperature for about 4–5 hours before serving.

Notes
