Golden Crust Garlic Rosemary Focaccia Muffins

A delightful twist on traditional focaccia, these muffins feature a crispy exterior and fluffy interior, infused with garlic and fresh rosemary.

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast in a small bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Fold in minced garlic and chopped rosemary.
  5. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough, divide into muffin portions, and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake muffins for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Experiment with different herbs or add cheese to enhance flavor. Store muffins in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
