Halloween Rice Krispie Treats

Spooky, chewy Rice Krispie treats adorned with green and black candy melts, perfect for Halloween festivities!

  • 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 oz green candy melts
  • 3 oz black candy melts
  • Royal icing eyes
  • Black jimmies sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Butter a 9×13-inch casserole dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add mini marshmallows, stirring until smooth.
  4. Fold in the Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared dish and let it set for 30 minutes.
  6. Cut into rectangles or Halloween shapes.
  7. Melt green candy melts in intervals until smooth.
  8. Dip treats into melted green candy melts and coat with black jimmies.
  9. Place royal icing eyes on each treat.
  10. Pipe black candy melts for mouths and stitches.
  11. Let decorated treats harden before serving.

Notes

For variations, try different colored candy melts or add nuts and pretzels for texture.
