Pumpkin Brownies

Delightful Pumpkin Brownies combine rich chocolate flavor with the comforting essence of pumpkin, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gently combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture using a spatula.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

For an extra treat, swirl cream cheese frosting or Nutella into the batter. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
