Pumpkin Pie Twists

Pumpkin Pie Twists are an irresistible treat that combines the warmth of pumpkin pie filling with the delightful crunch of crescent roll dough, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Whipped cream, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, maple syrup, and pumpkin spice until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and press the seams together to form a rectangle. Cut into two equal rectangles.
  4. Spread the pumpkin filling over one rectangle of dough.
  5. Place the second rectangle on top and slice into strips. Twist each strip gently.
  6. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  7. Bake for 8 to 11 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with whipped cream for dipping.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding chopped nuts to the filling or a dash of vanilla extract.
