Quick & Easy Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna

A one-pot comfort food that combines layers of lasagna noodles, seasoned meat, and creamy cheeses, all cooked effortlessly in an Instant Pot.

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Break the lasagna noodles in half and arrange half of them at the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  2. Add pre-cooked ground beef or Italian sausage over the noodles, distributing it evenly.
  3. Spread half of the marinara sauce over the meat.
  4. Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese on top.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta and season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Repeat the layering process with the remaining noodles, marinara sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
  7. Pour 2 cups of water around the edges of the pot.
  8. Secure the lid on the Instant Pot, ensuring the valve is set to sealing.
  9. Set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  10. Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.
  11. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top and let it sit before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using whole wheat or gluten-free noodles, and feel free to customize with vegetables for a vegetarian option.
