Red Lobster’s Cheese Biscuit Loaf

A delicious and nostalgic cheese biscuit loaf that features gooey cheddar and hints of garlic, bringing comfort food to any table.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing or lining it.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  5. Add the buttermilk to the mixture and stir just until combined.
  6. Spoon the dough into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top gently.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder while warm.
  9. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.
  10. Let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
