Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup warm milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander/cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the warm milk, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a larger bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, yogurt, vegetable oil, and grated garlic.
  3. Pour the foamy yeast mixture into the flour mixture, adding water gradually while kneading until soft and elastic.
  4. Lightly oil the dough, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 pieces, shape each into balls, and flatten to about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Mix melted butter with chopped garlic and coriander in a separate bowl.
  7. Set air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and lightly oil the basket.
  8. Place one naan in the fryer basket and cook for 7–8 minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Brush hot naan with garlic butter before serving.
