  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by rinsing the strawberries under cold water. Remove the stems and cut them into halves or quarters.
  2. Peel the bananas and slice them into half-inch thick rounds.
  3. In a medium bowl, gently toss the sliced strawberries and bananas together.
  4. Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the fruit mixture.
  5. If preferred, fold in honey or maple syrup, adjusting to taste.
  6. For an aromatic touch, sprinkle finely chopped mint leaves over the salad.
  7. Let the salad chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes prior to serving.
