The Pioneer Woman Chili Recipe

A delightful chili that combines spices, meat, and beans for a comforting meal that’s perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) Tomato Sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) Pinto Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 can (4 oz) Green Chilies (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in kidney beans and pinto beans, cooking for another 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro.

Notes

Allow the chili to rest after cooking for better flavor. Consider adding corn or bell peppers for additional taste.
