Instructions
 

Create the Crust

  • Mix the crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers with the melted butter until the crumbs are well-coated and resemble wet sand.
  • Press a small layer firmly into the bottom of your trifle dish or into the base of individual serving cups.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping until light, fluffy, and fully combined.
  • Set aside.

Prepare the Pecan Pie Layer

  • In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, heavy cream, and butter.
  • Stir over medium heat until bubbly and thickened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, stir in chopped pecans and vanilla extract, then allow to cool slightly.

Assemble the Trifle

  • Layer the buttery crust crumbs at the bottom, followed by half the cheesecake filling, then a generous spoonful of the pecan pie mixture.
  • Repeat layers until the dish is filled, ending with pecan caramel on top.

Chill

  • Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
